Team building: Simple instructions -- use cases Seniors topic: Toys and games changes Homework topic: Daily life changes Programming: Use cases
Inside -- talk about toys and games -- and the fact that things weren't available in stores, Christmas catalogs, etc. and so what kind of games do you play? List of toys and games played -- now and grandparents
Don't know if I have a youtube for reference or not but maybe I don't have a story or anything like that.We can create a list of games we want to play outside from that era.
Let's go outside and play games (maybe set up centers for some of them? or we could just have a free-for-all... -- ???? not sure???)
Jump ropeHopscotchRed rover?Marbles?
Then segue into use cases... outside... Talk in a circle on blankets if it's not too wet -- communication, computers, telling computers what to do, how is that like what we did with the LEGO back-to-back build...
Example will be with a foam ball and the baskets -- we'll try as a group to give directions to one of the Moms to shoot a basket - or something like that -- first verbally and then we'll try writing the steps on a white board/easel and see if that works. Depending on how this goes, it would be good to have 2 tasks to try but it will depend on their squirreliness... Next week I'd like them to be in pairs to do the same thing.
Inside for end -- build a game with LEGO's... their own game or one that they've played.
--> QUESTION -- what to do about teams?I'd like to put the lego build with tentative teams to see how it goes. But what are those and how do we decide?????
3 teams -- could do by ages...
the 8's (5 of them) and split the 6/5's into 2) -- but hard to split
girls -- going together would be good for the time they want to spend on the display board and that leaves 7 boys plus Mark, Demetrius, Kai -- who are involved but harder to incorporate
